Introduction

Race tyres are available for anything from BMX racing to drag racing.  We cater specifically for karting, car club (tarmac) racing, motor cycle racing, and speedway sidecar racing in New Zealand.

Tips to Purchasing Race Tyres

Different tyres are made for different applications from dry weather slicks to wet weather grooved.

  • Standards for classes - each class of racing has specific governing rules which determine what tyres you are allowed to race on.  Find out from your club or event organiser these standards before purchasing.

  • Compounds - Different tyres are made of different rubber compounds each for a specific purpose.  Generally the harder the tyre rubber compound, the lesser the grip and the longer the tyre life.  Choose the correct compound for your class of racing and budget.

Now check out karting, circuit racing and motorcycle & speedway sidecar racing.

  • shallower tread depth - regulating tyre heat which provides more consistent performance

  • advanced tyre construction reducing contact shape distortion.

We have the latest DOT approved race tyres which a lot of club rules state must be used in racing to keep competitors evenly matched and costs down.
