Upsizing to change the width of your tyres or the diameter of your wheels

Upsizing is either increasing the diameter of your wheel and/or increasing the width of your tyre.  You may wish to do this if you are purchasing bigger diameter mag wheels or if you simply would like wider tyres on your vehicle.  In either of these cases it is important to maintain the overall height of the wheel (tyre and rim) as specified by the manufacturer.  If you do not maintain this then you will compromise safety in reduced braking and handling performance, you will upset the vehicles gearing and the speedometer and odometer readings will be incorrect.
